Privacy Policy

Your information, plainly explained.

Effective May 10, 2026

1. Who we are

SWFL Young Professionals (“SWFLYP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates www.swflyp.com and organizes networking events across Southwest Florida. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you interact with our website, how we use it, and your choices.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following directly from you when you use our forms:

  • Newsletter signup: name and email address.
  • Contact form: name, email address, and the message you send us.
  • Sponsor inquiry: name, email address, company, optional budget range, and message.

We also receive limited technical information automatically, including IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, via our hosting provider’s built-in analytics. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

3. How we use your information

  • Send you event invitations, news, and community updates you signed up for.
  • Respond to contact and sponsor inquiries.
  • Track event RSVPs and headcount through our event platform.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers:

  • GoHighLevel — our customer relationship management (CRM) and email delivery platform. Information you submit through our forms is stored there.
  • Eventbrite (or other event platforms we use) — RSVP and headcount data when you register for an event. Their own privacy policy applies to data you provide them directly.
  • Vercel — our website host. Standard server-side request logs.

We may also share information when required by law, to protect our rights, or to investigate fraud or abuse.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep contact and subscriber information for as long as you remain on our list or until you ask us to delete it. Inquiry messages (contact, sponsor) may be retained as part of our records for several years after the inquiry, so we can pick conversations back up later.

6. Your rights

You can, at any time:

  • Unsubscribe from emails (link in every email footer).
  • Email us at info@swflyp.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

If you are a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or Utah resident (or otherwise covered by a U.S. state privacy law), you have additional rights under those laws. Send us a request and we will honor it within the timelines that law requires.

7. Children

SWFLYP events and content are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage on the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through email or a notice on the site.
